Level 4 — Into the Forest
Video Walkthrough
Objective
Start in the dark forest, grab a crowbar, and break into supplies for bolt cutters, a battery, and scissors. Cut through the perimeter fence, drop into the sewer via the manhole, restore a flashlight with the battery, follow painted shadows and notes through the tunnels, bridge the flooded stretch, climb into the New Dawn facility, then beat the ball-in-maze electronic lock to clear the stage.
Step-by-Step Solution
- Forest perimeter. Search near the fence line on the ground for a crowbar, then pry open the nearby wooden crate. Typical loot includes bolt cutters (wire cutters), a battery, and scissors—stash everything before you push deeper into the compound.
- Cut the fence. Use the bolt cutters on the chain-link gap to slip into the yard that hides the sewer access and building threshold the episode wants you to use next.
- Manhole descent. Wedge the manhole cover with the crowbar, climb down, and sweep the tunnel. Beside the fallen figure you should find a flashlight shell that still needs its power cell.
- Light and note. Slot the battery into the flashlight and switch it on. Pick up any scrap that reads like “follow the dark” (or similar)—that phrase is your hint for the mural puzzle ahead.
- Shadow navigation. Study wall paintings or decals where the shaded side of each figure points a direction. Move through the branching pipes by always honoring those cues until the maze-like crawl opens toward the deeper chamber.
- Plank crossing. Collect the loose board, lay it across the flooded gap, and cross without dunking your inventory; grab the ladder or climb point on the far side once you are dry.
- New Dawn facility. Ascend the ladder into the interior labeled New Dawn (or equivalent). Locate the security console with the mechanical or on-screen marble maze—you must steer the ball through the correct channels so the door relay fully engages.
- Exit and rating. When the maze completes, let the bulkhead open, step through, and finish the chapter—your run should register a full three-star clear if every objective in the build was satisfied.
💡 Tips & Tricks
- Shadow clues stack: if two murals disagree, look for the latest painted path or the note that tells you whether to trust light vs shade.
- Do not leave the battery in the crate once you know the flashlight exists—dark tunnels are often impossible to navigate without it.
- On the maze panel, small hesitations still count as moves; nudge calmly so the ball does not fall into penalty holes your layout cannot recover from.
- The bolt cutters usually stay useful until the fence is dealt with; avoid dropping them in an unreachable spot if the game allows item placement.
⚠️ Common Mistakes
- Taking the wrong branch when a mural’s shadow points subtly backward—re-light the scene with the flashlight if the painting looks flat.
- Forgetting the plank and trying to jump the water, which traps you in the sewer loop.
- Rushing the ball maze and locking the puzzle in a fail state instead of resetting calmly from the last safe notch.
