Level 3 — East Wing

Video Walkthrough

Objective

Escape the East Wing by moving from a dark rooftop into locked rooms and the sewers. Pry open gear, follow wall and wallpaper clues, restore running water, wash bathroom graffiti until four geometric symbols appear, then feed those shapes into the sewer control panel, use the lever on the final mechanism, and leave through the opened grate toward the forest.

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Rooftop start. Explore the exposed roof: recover a crowbar (or pry bar) and force open the wooden crate to take the framed portrait. Anything else you can pocket here usually matters later, so clear the area before you drop inside.
  2. First interior sweep. Once you are indoors, gather the map and the key ring, then inspect damaged wallpaper. Tear or peel it back where it looks suspicious to expose secret marks or glyphs the level wants you to remember for frame and panel puzzles ahead.
  3. Picture frames and lever. In the room with the hanging portraits, align or reorder the frames using the symbol hints you saw on the wall. When the sequence matches the clue, the setup releases a lever (handle) you will need for the exit machinery.
  4. Sewers and water. Descend into the sewer channel, pick up the rusty bucket, and use your keys on the iron door that guards the valve room. Spin the valve to restore pressurized water to the restroom line so you can fill containers and rinse surfaces upstairs.
  5. Wash the graffiti. Return to the bathroom wall that still shows paint or chalk smears. Fill the bucket at the sink (once water is live) and wash the mess repeatedly until four clean geometric symbols stand out—triangle, square, or similar shapes the finale expects you to copy exactly.
  6. Sewer control panel. Back in the tunnels, find the console that accepts icon or shape inputs. Duplicate the four-symbol sequence from the restroom, confirm each slot, and unlock the staging area for the lever-driven gate.
  7. Lever and exit. Mount the lever in the waiting socket, crank it through the animation, and raise the heavy sewer grate. Step through the passage until you emerge in the forest clearing—chapter complete.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • Paper clues often sit in layers: wallpaper first, then washing, then the panel—if the restroom wash stops short, you are usually missing another rinse pass or a full bucket.
  • Frame puzzles are strict about left-to-right or top-to-bottom order; photograph or sketch the wall glyph strip before you shuffle portraits.
  • Keep the bucket once water flows; the same fill can gate both washing and optional cleanup hotspots in your build.
  • Symbol panels punish lookalike shapes—double-check orientation (pointing up vs down) before you lock in the sequence.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

  • Opening downstream doors before turning the valve, leaving the restroom taps dry and the graffiti stuck half visible.
  • Copying only three washed shapes or confusing similar polygons when entering the sewer console.
  • Forgetting to install the lever after the panel clears, which leaves the grate stuck even though the symbols were right.
