Level 18 — Pond

Video Walkthrough

Objective

Escape Pond by running shoreline, barn, and field in order: take the fishing rod and clue photo, fish up the yellow ball and pull the raft in to reach the barn; use the ball to free the gutter key; inside, get the wooden handle behind hay and the hoe head plus puzzle note upstairs; finish the jigsaw and math on the strips to get 4149; build or unlock the hoe, reach the high key, open the drawer for the screwdriver; outdoors, take screws from the bicycle; use the photo hint to enter BARN on the crate and take the sickle blade; combine handle, blade, and screws into a scythe; cut the thick grass by the pond to finish and unlock the next Alcatraz-themed chapter.

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Shore loot. Beside the water, grab the fishing pole and the snapshot whose margin notes matter later—usually a word lock or compass cue for a crate seal.

  2. Floatline commute. Cast until you hook the yellow sphere (or lure). Use it on the mooring rope so the raft kisses the bank, then cross into the barn clearing.

  3. Gutter shot. From the yard, lob or place the yellow ball along the trough / downspout track until a fallen key clatters free; scoop it up and unlock the barn portal.

  4. Hayloft split. On ground level, shift hay bales to expose the wooden shaft for your future tool. Ascend to the loft for the hoe iron plus a torn worksheet bundled with the tile puzzle.

  5. 4149 mosaic. Reassemble the jigsaw and evaluate every boxed equation (1+3, 2-1, and neighbors—exact operands follow the clip). Concatenate or map the results into the 4149 token the walkthrough confirms, then spend it on the padlock or console that gates the long-handled hoe.

  6. Hoe key run. Mate handle to blade head temporarily if the UI demands it, rake the ceiling hook or rafter ring, and catch the silver key it drops. Open the workbench drawer for a screwdriver with a wide bit set.

  7. Bike salvage. Outside again, unscrew the rusted bicycle fittings—the hardware later pins the sickle tang to the snath.

  8. BARN crate. Study the photo for lettering cues, spin the wooden crate's alphabet dials to B-A-R-N, and collect the curved blade or sickle bit inside.

  9. Full scythe. Merge wooden grip, metal blade, and bike screws in the craft window; tighten with the screwdriver. The assembled item should read scythe or sickle in inventory before vegetation hotspots glow.

  10. Reed exit. Return to the pond margin and slash the dense bulrushes blocking the trail. Once the path clears, the chapter splash promotes the upcoming Alcatraz prison break stage.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • If the raft ignores the ball, ensure the rod interaction fired first—some ports require a cast mini-game win.

  • Photograph each math tile before the jigsaw autosolves; transposing 4 and 1 scrambles 4149.

  • BARN must be entered in English caps if the lock distinguishes case; no plurals or spaces.

  • Store every bike screw; partial assemblies usually wobble off the scythe until all three seats bite.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

  • Dropping the yellow ball after the gutter shot without reclaiming it before the loft puzzle demands a second toss.

  • Typing 4194 or 4419 after mis-solving 1+3 vs 2-1 order on the reassembled flyer.

  • Forcing BARNS or BARN with an accidental fifth letter when the photo crop shows only four glyphs.

  • Cutting grass before the scythe recipe shows green, which burns the hotspot on a few mobile builds.
